The darkest places in hell are reserved
for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis.
- Inferno, Dan Brown
NOW IT STRUCK ME! I HAVE BEEN HERE ALL ALONG IN THE FOUR CORNERS OF THIS ROOM
WATCHING THE WORLD PASSED BY, TIMES RUNNING, LEADERS CHANGE.
I
NOTICED MYSELF STRESSED OUT TO THE POINT OF SHIFTING FROM A VANTAGE POINT OF
VIEW, TO A WAY MORE LIBERAL MIND. THE GRAY MATTER DIFFERS NOW, FOR IT IS
BECOMING STRONGER, BOLDER IN HUES, COLOR, TASTE AND TEXTURE.
GOD
KNOWS HIS WILL. PEOPLE DO. SOMETIMES. GIVEN A CHANGE TO LET LAW OF THE LAND
PREVAIL. YES! MAN IS JUST SO GOOD AT IT. BUT, WHEN POKED WITH SOCIO-CIVIC DISPUTES,
EVIDENTLY SHOWN IN AN ENORMOUSLY DISTRESSING SITUATION, HE IS STILL NO GOOD AT
ALL. HE REMAINS NUMB AND GOOD-KNOWING ONLY TO HIS ADVANTAGE. BUT, DOES HE HAVE
THE HEART TO TOUCH EVEN THE HANDS OF THE LOWLY ONES? NO. HE DOESN’T EVEN SHOW
UP TO FACE THE CRY OF THE OPPRESSED. HE LOCKED HIMSELF IN THE ROOM. REMAINED
SILENT AND SAFE. OH, WHAT A PITY!
FOR
TO LIVE, IS TO SERVE. FOR WE ALL GIVE, TO DESERVE. FOR WE HAVE LIFE, TO
GLORIFY. TO PROSPER IS TO HELP. HUMANITY IS SERVED IN OUR BEING – REACHING OUT
WITH OTHERS AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE. NOT SITTING BACK. NOT MAKING DISCOURSE FOR
SOME PALTRY EXCUSES. WALKING TALL YET NO HEART AT ALL.
